Do you guys use Anydesk or Teamviewer and are you looking for something new?

As Teamviewer started to nag it's users to pay, the Anydesk team formed and created Anydesk. Now, as Anydesk starts to nag it's users, it is time for a new tool that works just as easy as it's predecessors.

Thus I am thinking to rewrite a new remote support Tool on the basis of HTML5, which is much faster because of it's WEBP support for screen sharing.

Basically what I need to do is to combine HTML5 Screensharing with a local tool that shares the Keyboard/Mouse input.

Would anyone of you guys be interested in it?

I am thinking to setup a crowd funding where all supporters would have free livetime access to the tool.

yes I tried rustdesk, but it did not work out of the box when I tested it. Also it is too complicated to setup to be called as "the next anydesk". I am looking for something as simple as to enter the remote ID and pressing the "CONNECT" button.

have you tried rustdesk?

I've used teamviewer and anydesk, extensively, but have settled on rustdesk on my personal machine - works well, can run self-hosted or from the cloud.
